Though I'm not teaching this course, this school year, I highly recommend taking it!
The Ceramics students will be exposed to beginning, intermediate and advanced training in the techniques of forming both sculptural and functional ceramic forms, coupled with historical and contemporary examinations of the ceramics field. The

Elements and Principles of Design, approaches to Aesthetics, and the Art Criticism process will be addressed in conjunction with

the technical and historical aspects of Ceramic arts. The course addresses and explores a variety of clay-form building

techniques; including, but not limited to: slab, coil, and pinch methods along with wheel throwing. Additionally, the course will

cover a variety of approaches taken with clay finishing techniques. Cost is approximately $25.00 for materials
